ABOUT ME

Josephine Jalleh is Manager of the Department of Communications and Collaborations at George Town World Heritage Incorporated, leading publicity efforts to promote the organisation’s work and projects in safeguarding the Outstanding Universal Value of George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site. Previously a journalist with a leading Malaysian English daily, Josephine draws on her combined experience in communication, journalism and public relations to implement the organisation’s branding, marketing and promotional strategies. She oversees content development for the company website, creates content for social media accounts, develops and edits marketing collateral, and coordinates press conferences to educate the public and increase awareness on the importance of safeguarding George Town’s cultural heritage. As it is her department’s responsibility to promote and publicise the organisation’s projects and achievements, Josephine is much involved in office matters and provides input where necessary towards solving problems and getting things done. Josephine graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, and earned her Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from Digital Marketing Institute in 2018.
