Built Environment and Monitoring Officer

The Built Environment and Monitoring Officer is responsible for ensuring that the conservation, restoration, monitoring, and management activities on built heritage within and beyond George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site are conducted in accordance with building codes and conservation guidelines. He or she will support the Department of Built Environment and Monitoring.

Communications Assistant

The Communications Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the branding, marketing, promoting, and collaboration strategies of George Town World Heritage Incorporated are conducted in a highly professional manner. He or she will be supporting the Communications and Collaborations Department in accordance to the Vision and Mission of George Town World Heritage Incorporated, and is expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a highly professional manner.

Communications Officer

The Communications Officer is responsible for ensuring that the branding, marketing, promoting, and collaboration strategies for George Town World Heritage Incorporated are conducted in a highly professional manner. He or she will support the Department of Communications and Collaborations.

Cultural Heritage Officer

The Cultural Heritage Officer must have excellent knowledge of history, culture, and environmental design as well as archaeology, visual arts or sociology. Their knowledge may advise the formation of policy and legislation relating to classification, conservation, and management, and may also be used to inform the allocation of funding, development of projects, and information and education resources for museums and galleries.

Finance and Accounts Officer

The Finance and Accounts Officer is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash control, preparing payroll and personnel administration, monitoring and processing purchasing matters, and maintaining accounts payable. She or he supports the Department of Administration and Finance.

Information Technology Officer

The Information Technology Officer manages the daily operational IT needs of the organisation, as well as designs and implements the appropriate IT policies and procedures. She or he is also responsible for ensuring the continuity of business, which includes instituting an effective disaster recovery management plan.

Personal Assistant to the General Manager

The Personal Assistant manages the daily operation of the General Manager’s office such as facilitating the timely flow of documents, communication and messages to and from the General Manager, as well as establishing and arranging the appointments for the General Manager. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the General Manager.
