ABOUT ME
Amelina Zainudin joined George Town World Heritage Incorporated in 2022 as a Built Environment and Management Assistant. Graduated with a Masters Degree in Built Environment: Sustainable Heritage (MSc.) and a Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Hons.), this Penangite chose to put her knowledge into great use by serving her hometown. Her involvement in different tasks certainly has developed her into a team player and opened up to look at things from different points of view. Amelina is looking forward to assignments that can sharpen her skills in this field while seeking the adventure of her life.
I am a Motivated Site Manager because I want to keep heritage buildings and cultures in George Town as it was in the past, but definitely would not want to miss out on the modern technologies and updated system that we have today. With many different rules laid out by international and national authorities to protect them, I am glad that I can be part of it and contribute in my field of expertise to safeguard this area where I called ‘my home’. Finding the balance between the two opposite wants and blending them together can be a challenging task, but I am up for it.
