She was born in Kuantan and grew up in Mentakab, Pahang. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Master of Science degree in Planning from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Her current work interests comprise urban design, heritage townscape planning and disaster risk management. Boon Nee\u2019s current duties primarily focus on the disaster risk management programme for the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the coordination of inception and national workshops on disaster risk reduction in collaboration with UNESCO Jakarta. Her forte in project management is put to great use when organising community workshops on cultural heritage disaster risk management. Boon Nee menerima Ijazah Sarjana Sains dalam Perancangan Bandar dan Desa serta Ijazah Sarjana Sains dalam Perancangan dari Universiti Sains Malaysia pada tahun 2015 dan 2016. Minat kerja Boon Nee merangkumi reka bentuk bandar, perancangan bandar warisan dan pengurusan risiko bencana. Boon Nee memberi tumpuan kepada program pengurusan risiko bencana bagi Tapak Warisan Dunia UNESCO George Town, termasuk penyelarasan bengkel permulaan mengenai pengurangan risiko bencana dengan kerjasama UNESCO Jakarta. Kepakaran Boon Nee dalam pengurusan projek digunakan dengan baik semasa mengatur bengkel komuniti mengenai pengurusan risiko bencana warisan kebudayaan.
