Previously a high school art teacher, Jun Hui earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fine Arts from the National Taichung University of Education in Taiwan, and a master\u2019s degree in International Cultural Heritage Management from Durham University, UK. She now coordinates the Community-based Intangible Cultural Heritage Inventorying in George Town, which focuses on rituals and festive events this year, as well as the Empowering Local Communities Through Creative Industry, Interpretation Centres and Museums in the Heritage City of George Town project aimed to bring economic opportunities and a positive social and cultural impact for the participating UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A left-handed tea person who turns to coffee on difficult mornings, Jun Hui is a fan of Broadway musicals who collects picture books and postcards.
