Madam Ooi Siew Kim, the daughter of Mr Ooi Ah Goh, later took over the company, which was then taken over by her sister, Madam Ooi See Han, and the troupe's name was changed to Beng Geok Hong. They have been using the same glove puppets, musical instruments, and equipment for two generations. Beng Geok Hong's members are mostly in their 60s and 70s, and most of them have been in the industry since they were young, therefore they are able to play a variety of characters and musical instruments even without a script or musical score. The troupe is made up of four members who are skilled in manipulating glove puppets, singing, playing drums, Suona (Chinese Trumpet), and gongs. Beng Geok Hong is often invited to perform not only in Penang, but also in Kedah, Perak, and other states in the country. This three-storey shophouse belongs to Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi and the premises were occupied by Yin Oi Tong Medical Hall 仁愛堂 from circa 1885 until 2009. The premises were taken over by Green Buildings Sdn. Bhd. in 2010. They carried out major restoration works at RM3 million, and were completed in 2013. The façade has been restored with louvre glass windows and the entire roof was restored to its original pitch. The corrugated roof was replaced with V-tiles while the upper wooden floors were restored and replaced with recycled old timber. The airwells, original staircase and courtyard were restored to allow natural light to enter and provide constant airflow throughout the building. The entire building has been replastered with lime and finished with limewash, creating a cooler hue as opposed to chemical paint. The restored Ren I Tang currently hosts the Bistro Tang cafe and the traditional Chinese medical museum display on the ground floor, while the Heritage Inn accommodation consists of 17 cozy rooms on the first and second floors. Bistro Tang serves Oriental and Western cuisine, with vegetarian food being available on the menu as well. The traditional Chinese medical museum display highlights the history of Yin Oi Tong Chinese Medical Hall, showcasing nostalgic items that were used in the olden days. Kumpulan Potehi Hock Lye Hock Lye Puppet Enterprise 福來掌中班 Information in English Maklumat dalam Bahasa Malaysia 中文資訊 About the Business Hock Lye Puppet Enterprise was established in 2020 by Mr Quah Hock Lye. With a strong interest in opera performances, Mr Quah joined a local opera troupe at the young age of 15. In the troupe, he learnt to sing, manipulate puppets, and play musical instruments. With 40 years of experience in the field, Mr Quah then founded his own troupe with his wife, Madam Ong Choon Yean, and his brother Mr Quah Hock Teng. Although the group was established recently, the troupe members are experienced, talented, and possess good skills in puppetry, singing, and playing musical instruments, as they have been performing since a young age. The glove puppets used for performances are made by local tailors. The weapons and props used in action scenes, such as knives, blades, and spears are handmade by Mr Quah using recycled materials. Beliau berminat terhadap persembahan opera sejak kecil lagi, oleh itu beliau mula menyertai kumpulan opera tempatan sejak umur 15 tahun. Beliau juga belajar menyanyi, memanipulasikan boneka dan bermain alat muzik. Setelah selama 40 tahun berkecimpung dalam seni persembahan opera, beliau menubuhkan kumpulan sendiri bersama isterinya, Puan Ong Choon Yean dan juga adiknya, Encik Quah Hock Teng. Walaupun kumpulan ini baru ditubuhkan, namun ahli kumpulannya amat berpengalaman dan mahir. Boneka tangan yang digunakan oleh mereka ialah hasil tangan tukang jahit tempatan, manakala senjata yang digunakan dalam babak aksi seperti pisau, pedang dan lembing pula dihasilkan oleh Encik Quah sendiri dengan mengitar semula bahan-bahan plastik.
