ABOUT ME
Faizah joined George Town World Heritage Incorporated in 2024. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from University Science Malaysia, Penang and a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Surveying from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Being with GTWHI in the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site, Faizah feels that it is a privilege and an opportunity to enhance her passion in heritage building conservation and management of the historic urban landscape. As an Assistant at the Built Environment and Management Department of George Town World Heritage Incorporated, Faizah is committed to putting the knowledge she has into practice with her colleagues and contributing to the efforts of safeguarding the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I am a committed Site Manager because I want to ensure the precious historical elements of George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site remain safeguarded and able to move in line with the surrounding developments. I consider George Town as my second home – its unique community, architectural features and diverse cultural elements attracted my interest to contribute in safeguarding it.
