Measured Drawing Project for Category II Heritage Buildings

George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) invites Conservation Architect To Be to participate in a Measured Drawing Project for Category II Heritage Buildings.

This project aims to produce accurate architectural documentation for archival and conservation purposes. GTWHI offers a hands-on platform to gain practical experience in heritage documentation, building recording and conservation practices while directly contributing to the preservation of the George Town UNESCO World Heritage Site.

1. To document and produce a complete and accurate measured drawing with the existing condition and architectural details of assigned Category II heritage buildings.
2. To provide opportunities for capacity building through participation and hands-on training of young professionals in heritage documentation and conservation practices.

1. Priority for Malaysians.
2. Young professionals with BA in Architecture and completed LAM Part I.

The works shall be completed within six (6) months.

A modest honorarium will be provided. Details during the work briefing.

1. Conduct measured drawings for Category II  heritage buildings.
2. Perform site visits to measure, photograph and document building conditions for reporting. 
3. Convert site measurement into compatible AutoCAD version with GTWHI standard plotstyle for measured drawing.

1. Measured Drawing Reports: Three (3) A4 size hardcopy sets documenting the current condition with photographic records.
2. Measured Drawing Plans: Three (3) A1 size hardcopy sets (Key plan, location plan, site plan, floor plans, roof plan, elevations, sections and architectural details) scaled at 1:100 or as appropriate.
3. Digital Copies: All reports (Word & PDF) and measured drawings (AutoCAD & PDF) must be submitted via email to syazwan@gtwhi.com.my.
